If the mesh of a colander is too fine, it drains poorly; if it's too coarse, it can't hold food. The size is designed so that rice, the most common and smallest food, can be washed without falling through.

Furthermore, this colander aims to be a "lifetime product," achieved after repeated discussions with the manufacturer to pursue strength and aesthetic beauty while maintaining excellent drainage.

The mesh used is a 12-mesh plain weave that allows rice to be washed without falling through.

The high-strength mesh is pulled taut and tightly wrapped with a core material around the rim, creating overall tension and a structure where the mesh is unlikely to come off the rim. The rim ring is secured with a special weld that has no steps, providing a beautiful appearance and a snag-free design for use.

The feet on the bottom are spot-welded, making them easy to clean and preventing dirt from accumulating. Since the food in the colander doesn't directly touch the surface, you can work hygienically.
